Recovering from explosive growth
Rapid growth is tough for any startup. One company drastically expanded its investment in online marketing, without the proper controls and nearly crashed the company. The company responded by shifting its entire spend offline, leaving potentially valuable digital channels completely off the table.
I worked with the company’s leadership to create a framework that would allow the company to safely test its way back into digital channels. We analyzed prior performance, diagnosed analysis errors and system flaws, and built a shared understanding of how to move forward. A shared test and learn agenda allowed the company to reinvest in digital channels with the confidence that it would produce stable, predictable economics. Over time, digital channels grew to 30% to overall volume.
