Ok, I get that the lady was being rude and over dramatic but he could have just said no I'm busy do it yourself bitch. She was obviously upset and while I did find this ridiculously hilarious he didn't have to be such a jerk

As a designer myself, I can say that one of my pet peeves is people asking me to do this "little thing" for them. "All I need is a logo..." like it will take me two minutes. If I say I really don't have time, then they offer money so I can buy some time, I guess. And if I do somebody a favor, all of a sudden THEY'RE the designer and want me to re-do it, giving me suggestions about how to make it "look better." If you know how you want it and can do it better, do it. So hurray for David!

I love cats and still found this funny, this wasn't a request for help, it was an instruction and the designer rightfully played her, what happened to a felt tip pen and paper, she could have done it herself.. Cheeky madam !!

Boy, I hope they can develop this neutered pronoun quick so folks like me can go out of our way not to use it.

Hi Kevmo,
I am not sure that this problem will ever go away, as gender has created havoc on planet earth for a VERY long time. This state of dynamic tension, a type of tension that creates life, will always lie in our language, even if dormant from time to time. Language plays such a huge roll in how we think, and paradoxically thinking tends to be thrown out of the window as soon as gender interactions are involved, on a chemical level, anyway. I did like the post. I wonder how Esperanto dealt with it, as they could do whatever they wanted. At least, in English/American/Canadian/... we don't have to label everything male or female, from a chair to a filing cabinet.
Keep on trucking.

I own cats and I am very fond of them but I also have a huge problem with stupid and over the top melodramatic people, the brilliance and genius of the graphic artist with those responses and the time it took to create-mock those posters it was beautiful. The lady never understood how over dramatic she was acting in leu of the feline misplacement and that the graphic designer tried to make her aware of it.

The whole thing a work of art. Thanks I haven't laught like that in a long while.

Fuck that lady. If she was too dumb to cut out a picture of her cat and tape it to a piece of paper and write what she wants it to say with a damn Sharpie, then she deserved every bit of bullshit from this Designer. I am a Graphic Designer myself and I get tired of people just assuming that my job is nothing more than arts and crafts time at the shit filled diaper old folks purgatory home. Fuck her cat. I hate cats.

There's definitely humor in the snarky emails, but I don't really get the joke overall, real or not. The woman reminds me of my mom, who wouldn't know how to make a poster like that and would be extremely upset if her pet went missing. Who wouldn't? I imagine her asking the person she thinks would be able to get the job done well, quickly, and without much trouble, and being really confused if they responded like this. She wouldn't get it. As a fictional exchange, it might have been funnier if the woman had been more unreasonable in her request or if the subject of the poster was something lighter--"can you make me a poster for my yard sale that isn't for two months by 11am today and oh it's already 10?"
